Making Sense of Spring 2019 Trends

Making Sense of Spring 2019 Trends

Fashion shows can tend to be as confusing as they are entertaining. If you struggle to understand how the costumes lurking down the runway on lanky legs could ever translate to an item you would pick up off the rack, you aren’t alone.

I’ll let you in on five of our favorite trends for Spring, and accessible ways you can wear them. You won’t even have to tease your hair into a square or don purple lipstick. Unless you want to, then more power to ya!

1. Yellow

More than any other color, we saw vivid yellows grace a multitude of models–all with varying skin tones and hair colors. So get on board, and quit saying “it’s not my color.” Fashion disagrees with you, and so do we.

2.

Polka Dots

We are seeing spots, and you will too. Polka dots are finding their way onto jackets, dresses, and jumpsuits alike. Expect to have your very own Cruella de Vil “seeing spots” moment without the breakdown and crazy hair situation. Hopefully.

3. Animal Print

You already know this one, but here is a reminder. If it looks like the skin of something that would potentially be wandering in the wilderness, it’ll be on your shirt as well. Made of vegan materials of course! We aren’t monsters.

4.

Linen

This is one of the subtler styles we saw for the season. In both structured silhouettes and earth tones, linen is a great selection for those of us who can’t quite get on board with the more outlandish options out there.

5.

Neon

If you’ve ever dreamed of embodying a glow stick, now is your time to shine. Get it?... Anyway, neon was all over fashion week. In greens, yellows, oranges, and pinks. So don’t be shy, add some color to your wardrobe with fashion’s newest bright idea… Ok, I promise I’m done.

You can come into one of our three locations to try on these bad boys, or order online!
